- The Water Valley Inn, also known as "the Ditch" by the Haushalter and Casler families, has been a staple of Water Valley life since the 19th century. Conveniently situated right at the base of the hill atop which the Haushalter farm sat, it provided a welcome place to grab a cold drink and comforting bite after a long day of work for generations of farmers and farmhands.
